Optiniche Review
Optiniche is a superb package if you're interested in using Wordpress to set up niche sites, or if you're a blogger looking to make some income from your blogging.
The key to using Wordpress for niche websites is to make your sites search engine friendly. The same goes for getting more search engine visitors to your blog. Until I got Optiniche, Teli Adlam's guide to optimizing wordpress niche blogs, I had been using a cobbled-together checklist of things to achieve this goal, doing different tweaks and relying on an assortment of Wordpress plugins.
Not only does Teli take you through the steps for optimizing your Wordpress site using simple, clear step-by-step instructions, she also gives you the php code to cut and paste into your Wordpress theme (a Wordpress theme is simply the template you use for your site). But for me, the most amazing part of the package is the OptiNiche plugin. Teli is a rare breed - a web designer and php programmer who knows her SEO. And she's developed a plugin for Optiniche that handles the work of optimizing not just your blog's main page, but each and every post that you make.
To round out the package, there's also a plugin for a handy "email this to a friend" function, and a fully optimized Wordpress theme that you basically just "plug and play". Drop this theme into your WP Content/Themes folder, upload the OptiNiche plugin and the Email a friend plugin, and you're all set.
Here's what I wrote on my blog shortly after I got Optiniche: "I've been using the OptiNiche techniques and the special plugin for about two weeks now on one of my sites, and the results have been very impressive. I have doubled my unique hits, and this number keeps climbing every day. When I check the "came from" results in my stats, I actually see visitors coming for search terms that I've only just posted about a few days before."
I now use the Optiniche plugins on all of my blogs. And I recently tested the Optiniche theme (which is fully customizable - just drop in your header jpg of choice and change the colors of your links and titles to match) to see if it made a difference in terms of my Adsense CTR rates. My CTR tripled on most of the sites, and doubled on others that were already performing fairly well.
One of the most amazing things about Optiniche, though, is that you get access to the private section of the Optiniche Blog. The value of the information you'll find in there is on par with information you'll find in a lot of membership sites that charge you a monthly fee.
To top it all off, Optiniche includes two great bonuses: a set of 5 optimized Wordpress themes and a sweet little script for auto posting to your blog that would cost you quite a bit elsewhere.
