Wordtracker - Review
I know I usually write long-winded reviews, but in this case, there really isn't that much to say. If you're an affiliate marketer who's targeting keywords with your content, you need to use the Wordtracker service.
While Overture has a free research tool, the results are usually very different from the results you get at Wordtracker. And the bottom line is, the Wordtracker results are more accurate. The competition search in the full Wordtracker version covers eight search engines, including Google, MSN and Yahoo, as well as three directories and five PPC engines.
So the real issue probably is, what type of subscription should you get?
Wordtracker's subscription options range from one day (for about $8.00 U.S.) to a year (for about $270 U.S.). You can also choose a one week option, a one month option, and a three month option.
I bought a one year subscription back in October. Given my offline schedule at the time (my work is deadline driven, and at the time I was taking a lot of rush assignments), I knew that if I bought a three month subscription, I'd be kicking myself for not buying the one year subscription.
Because I'd probably not use the subscription for two months and 29 days, and then be frantically trying to load three months worth of keyword research into one or two days.
That's just me.
Anyway, I was partially right. I did use my subscription quite a few times, but not really enough to justify a one year subscription. But then I bought Keyword Results Analyzer, and now I use Wordtracker almost daily. So it did turn out to be a good thing afterall.
A lot of people I know have great success with the one-day and one-week subscriptions. You just have to know what keywords you want to research, and, if you're looking at the one-day subscription, make sure you set aside the time to do all the research you need. And actually, if you get Keyword Results Analyzer, you'll get even better mileage out of your one-day or one-week subscription.
If you've never used Wordtracker before, you can also take their trial. You can actually take their trial as many times as you like, but you're limited to 30 keywords each time. Visit Wordtracker to purchase a subscription, get more information, or try out the Wordtracker trial.
