That All-Important Contact Us Link or Form
December 06, 2007
Recently, I've been getting requests from potential sponsors via the Contact Me links or forms on some of my sites. And while often these requests don't lead into anything concrete in terms of income, in some cases I've added another little stream of income as a result.
Yesterday, I revised several of my sites so that the link to the contact information was more visible - I think I have a tendency to bury this link sometimes.
The funny thing is that I have yet to receive any such requests on my higher traffic sites. They've been coming in from sites with lower traffic. In many cases, the sites are more on the niche side, and see less than 30 visitors a day.
I recently received an email from a potential advertiser that may or may not lead to additional income on its own, but it lead me to brainstorming an idea and now I find myself in the middle of a site redesign and the major launch of something that I hope will lead to big things.
I've also developed a few press kits for some of my sites. Nothing's happened yet, but I'm prepared for when it does!
(The inspiration for the press kit idea comes from Money for Content and Your Clicks for Free, which really drove home for me the importance of traffic, traffic, and then some more traffic.)

I'd love to add a simple "contact me" form to my website. How do I do that?

Courtney, since you're on Wordpress, you'll find there are a lot of contact me plugins out there for WP. A good place to start looking is Lorelle's page at

Hope that helps!
