Outsourcing: The Best Way to Beat the Burnout Blues

October 06, 2007

It's official. For me, that is. I've been blogging very lightly here for much of this year, and it's really because I was getting burned out.

My to-do list always seemed to be brimming over, and since I also run an offline business that's quite busy, I really was working two full-time jobs at once. Not to mention being a parent. And wanting to have a life on top of that!

So, little by little, I began outsourcing my work.

At first, it was just content.

But last month, I outsourced most of my traffic-generating work.

And I'm finding that I'm no longer feeling burned out. Instead, the ideas are coming fast and furious. I've made a commitment to put to the test every single thing that I buy - and yes, that includes PLR articles, tools I get from membership sites, basically, the whole nine yards. I've got so much stuff sitting on my hard drive, and now I feel like I have the time, and the experience, to put them all to good use.

My main sites have been doing well, which means the outsourcing is working out.

So that's my cure for burnout. Outsource stuff, free up some time, and then get ready for that feeling of renewed energy!
