Short-term Profits vs. Long-term Results

Chrissie and I have been discussing our focus, which has been changing dramatically over the past few months.
The question we're asking ourselves right now is, "Do we want to aim for short-term profits, or long-term results?"
I'm reading Money for Content and Your Clicks for Free, by JD Frazer right now - many thanks to Terry, and her great review of the book here, and it just reinforces my decision to focus on the long-term.
If you've been reading my blog here for any length of time, you know that I've been really enjoying creating content for my new original-content sites.
And you've probably noticed that I haven't really been posting that much about affiliate stuff, the latest internet marketing products, or things like that.
I foresee a shift in my blogging here towards blogging more about things like building a readership and garnering advertising income.
The downside is that those of you who have come to expect affiliate-related chat here will find a lot less of it now. Except the occasional post when I'm excited about something that's affiliate-related.
But the new focus will still be on Internet marketing, only more on long-term-income angles than short-term. (Thank goodness, or it will be a real mismatch of domain name and content here!).
Anyway, I hope you'll continue to stick around, and explore this new focus with me.
