Your Quality Score in Adwords

February 16, 2007

Google came out with an Adwords update a few days ago: Quality Score Updates.

So I went into my account and turned on the Quality Score column (go to any Ad Group in a Campaign, click the keyword tab, then click "customize columns". Select quality score. This will show you the Quality Score of each ad in every Ad Group in that particular campaign.)

They really are making it clear that the better, more relevant your ad, the lower your minimum bid. In some cases, I'm seeing a 100% difference in the minimum bids for ads that are rated "Great" and ones that are rated "OK".

I've actually got some highly relevant ads in my campaigns, I guess. So that's the good news for me.

Now, if I could only get purchasing-minded consumers to agree!
