My First Adwords Sale!

February 14, 2007

I am very thrilled with this. I made my first Adwords sale yesterday!

My ROI for this particular product was 29.41. (If I calculated right, that is - I used this formula: Commission divided by cost.)

It was a result of my first set of Campaign Blasts, following the Campaign Blasts system.

Now, if I can do more of this, then I'll know this system works for me.

I'll keep you updated!

Hey BJ,

Congratulations on your first Adwords Sale. I haven't made the plunge into advertising on Adwords.

I heard about campaign blasting from Dennis Becker in his book 5 Bucks a Day.

I enjoyed Dennis' book. Not the best book I ever read, but it had a lot of good information for someone starting off.

Keep up the good work and please keep us posted. I just added your feed to my reader so I look forward to hearing from you. If you're interested my blog is below.

Have a great day,

Hi, Shannon,

Thanks for dropping by. What a coincidence, by the way - I'm pretty sure that's how I first heard about Campaign Blasts!

By the way, just so you're aware, while I do appreciate everyone's comments, I have found it's not a good policy to let people post their affiliate URLs in their comments - it's actually the reason I removed hyperlinking from the comments. I've edited the affiliate URL out of your comment.

I'd love to hear from you again, though!

Hi BJ,

I didn't mind! ;)

I tried to remove it anyways after I posted it, but there's no edit ability. :)

Congrats on your sale again anyways and look forward to hearing from you again.

Talk to you later,
S. Cole

Congrats! PPC is good stuff because you get immediate results. I'll have to check out this campaign blasts stuff.

Good job!

Thanks, Jon. I got my second sale today, so I'm definitely motivated. As far as I can tell, Campaign Blasts lets you launch a bunch of small little money makers. The way the system is set up, you're not going to lose your shirt, and it's a LOT of fun picking your products. It also takes work, but once you put up your campaigns, it's just a matter of monitoring them.

I'm starting to get a feel for it, and I think it has a LOT of potential. But I think I need to get just a little bit better at picking my products :)

Congrats BJ! While you're doing Matt's 100 blast challenge, you'll see plenty more to come your way!

Congratulations on your sales!

Just wondering, though, do you also bid 5-10c per click? From my experience, doing that for most markets will mean your ad is buried somewhere in page 3 or 4... I've been sticking to high bids -> reduce to about 15c.

Please let me know how this works for you!

Thanks,
Ben

Hi, Ben,

I'm actually bidding from 1 to 10 cents a click. When you use the Campaign Blasts method, you'll find that you'll get "winners" that show up in the top three ads.

I have not spent very much so far on clicks so far, and am definitely making a good profit. It's a good method - if you're not already using it, give it a try. If you are using it, I'd suggest sticking to what Matt outlines exactly for the first little while. He's tested everything out, and it works!
