Posting with Integrity - and a Good Dollop of Fun

November 07, 2006

I just came across this on Graywolf's blog. I clicked over, and I am still laughing.

Graywolf notes:

"OK technically they didn’t get paid in cash but they did get two $320 dinners for free, but let’s not quibble over the details. Did the restaurant owner get his $640 worth, you bet. Did the reviewer compromise his integrity, nope. Will you the reader be entertained, you bet … everybody wins."

Yes, "pay-per-post" can obviously be done with full disclosure, complete integrity and in a highly entertaining way.

I especially loved the lead-in to the YouTube video.

Enjoy (I know I did!): Chutzpah, Truffles & Alain Ducasse.

(And if you check around the whole blog, you'll see that this post isn't a one-hit-wonder. The Amateur Gourmet has definitely got a string of past hits - great food writing combined with a very good sense of humor.)
