My Adwords Journey Begins ...
November 02, 2006
I am always so appreciative when I decide to commit to something, and things start happening as a result.
In this case, I decided to commit to learning and using Adwords as an affiliate marketer. But my big problem with Adwords has always been the enormity of it all - deciding on products to market, dealing with huge keyword lists, keeping on top of campaigns.
I am a master procrastinator, and as a master procrastinator, it doesn't take much to make me put something off.
But last week, I stumbled on a product called the Campaign Blasts Guide, by Matt Levenhagen. Maybe I'm not receiving the "right" internet marketing newsletters, but I hadn't heard any mention of this product before so it was a relative unknown for me.
When it comes to Adwords, the potential for spending too much money without the profits to show for it is probably the largest "fear factor" for me. What the Campaign Blasts Guide does is outline a method for finding products that convert without first spending a bundle.
When you do find a product that converts, you can then go crazy and launch big campaigns, but this system is all about finding these products.
There are three things I really like about the Campaign Blasts System.
First, this is an Adwords guide that is NOT all about selling only Clickbank products. I really like this, because I've noticed that most Adwords guides target Clickbank products, but I'm also very interested in affiliate marketing in general, and I'd prefer not to be restricted to marketing only infoproducts and software.
Matt guides you through his process and uses examples that include tangible products from merchants listed at Commission Junction and Shareasale. With his methods, there are literally hundreds of thousands of potential products you can market through Adwords.
The second thing I like about the Campaign Blasts System is that it really IS a system. Matt takes you through everything from start to finish. His writing is easy to read, well-organized and extremely thorough.
Did I mention organized? That's the third thing I like about this ebook and system. I think that Matt has got to be the most organized affiliate marketer I've ever come across. He really pounds in the importance of being organized, especially if you want to keep an eye on your costs, and the Campaign Blasts System comes with spreadsheets to help you become organized.
Chrissie has suggested that I start blogging about my Adwords adventures. So this is the first of what I hope will be several posts in this category. I'm truly committing to using Adwords now, and I think I've found a great system to use as I plunge into Adwords.
If you're interested in following along with me, here's my affiliate link: Campaign Blasts Guide. But I'm quite willing to be the guinea pig here, and I will be blogging about my results with this method, so you can also wait and see what happens with me using this system first.
Yes, I'm excited about this! Can you tell? :)
