I Wish It Could Be Like This All Year Round

I've been liking the online shopping season so far this year. And today I was checking my reports at various affiliate networks and thinking to myself, wouldn't it be nice if it could be like this all the time?
The good news is that I've been making some nice sales at several of my affiliate sites. Even from some sites where my traffic is pretty low. My conversion rates on most of my older sites are quite high, and I'm pretty sure it's because "tis the season".
The bad news is that I've only made one sale from the 37 sites I created over the summer. A whopping $1.27 for all the work that I did.
BUT (isn't there always a "but"?), now I'm thinking that I just need to set aside some time in the new year to beef up these sites and work on their search engine rankings. That means submitting to directories, getting backlinks, writing articles. I'm inspired enough right now to think this might push some of those sites into play in time for next Christmas.
(Just another reminder for myself that this whole business is a long-term thing. Unless you're playing with Adwords, that is. It's probably much much faster doing it with Adwords, and I'm sad to say I haven't had the time to devote to Campaign Blasts like I had intended.)
In the meantime, I'm doing much better this year in terms of affiliate sales than last year. I think it's because the affiliate sites that are pulling their weight for me are more seasoned now. I also never seem to be able to leave my affiliate sites alone, so several of them have a lot more content on them this year than they had last year.
Oddly enough, my Adsense for all of November has been only 50% of what it was back in October. It's not because of a drop in traffic - the amounts I'm getting per click have been lower than normal.
But the affiliate sales more than make up for this. Thank goodness.
I love the holiday season!

Wow did you really have 37 working websites, again wow. This shows that i'm very new and little in this world of internet. Anyway i just stumble upon your blog from Affliate Business Oppotunity blog.
