Want a Wildly Successful Blog?
October 24, 2006
Jim at Blueprint for Financial Prosperity has a great post up entitled 25 Steps To a Wildly Successful Personal Finance Blog, and it's a must-read for anyone wanting to start a blog or wanting to ramp up the success of an existing blog in any subject matter, not just personal finances.
I have never really fully participated in a community the way Jim describes - all of the networking and friendships I've made have come almost solely from people coming to my blogs and commenting and/or emailing me. I love how he describes the process of commenting on blogs in your area and participating in related forums - it sounds like incredible fun and a great way to really get into the field in which you're starting up your blog.
It's a good read - and if you hadn't even been thinking about starting up a blog, it might just get you blogging!
