That First Sale From a New Site
August 01, 2006
I seem to be on a rampage of appreciation about this whole affiliate marketing/blogging business, so of course great things keep happening - that's law of attraction at its best.
I just made my first commission from a site that Chrissie and I put up earlier this year, and that's another thing that I love about this business.
Have you ever noticed that when you start feeling down about things, wondering why you're not getting further ahead, inevitably something always happens that will push your spirits up, and keep you from tossing your hat in? (I'm rotten with clichés, so that might not be the right one but you get the gist.)
Seriously, it can be just about anything. Some major site linking to one of your pages. An email from someone you don't know, giving you nice feedback and making you realize people actually are reading what you wrote. Google deciding to shower some kindness on you, for whatever reason. An Adsense click that pays for ALL of your Starbucks coffee.
Or that thrilling first sale from a new site.
So I'm dancing right now, and feeling mighty inspired. 50 affiliate sites - look out!
What's not to love?

BJ, hope you had a great holiday, I was a bit concerned when you hadn't posted for a bit - I thought you'd hit the mother load and was too busy cashing cheques to post here ;)
I've also used Teli's Datafeed script (mentioned in a previous post) and would like to add my recommendation to yours - it's a great tool.

You're so right, BJ, I've had some good luck with the new ones as well... I need to post the details because I've been pretty negative lately!
