It's All Those Little Admin Things ...

August 07, 2006

I've been getting a lot done lately, which is nice. I've got a few more sites running on datafeed autopilot. I've done a bit more keyword research. Written a lot more articles.

But right now I've got five new domains to build a few pages for, and get up and linked to, so that Google can make its little visit and hopefully index and not sandbox for too long the site.

I've had these domains since earlier this week, and still haven't gotten around to doing this. I did manage to change the nameservers to the appropriate ones for each site the other day. But I still have to build a few pages for each site, upload them and link to them from somewhere. It doesn't take very long, I know - maybe half an hour of my time for each site - yet I find myself procrastinating.

And when I think about it, it's usually these little admin things that loom large as obstacles for me. They are easy to do, but feel like a ton of work. And so I put them off. But they're the little steps that lead to bigger and better things.

So now, I'm off to build a few pages for each site. Right now. And I mean it. Really.
