Thought I Was Out of the Sandbox For a Moment There ...

May 11, 2006

I was just checking my stats (you know, that thing that I don't do very often *cough cough*) and I noticed that one of my sandboxed sites was getting a ton of hits.

My first thought - YES! I'm out of the sandbox with this one!

Alas ... not quite. Still, it's the second best thing. One of my articles got picked up by a big site, and then some MySpace blogs picked up on the link, too. I imagine the traffic will die down soon but it's nice to have those new incoming links.

As luck would have it, it's not translating into any extra Adsense clicks, either.

But it's encouraging. I've been getting kind of unmotivated about these sites lately, so this was exactly what I needed to get re-motivated.

I have a few sites now out of the SB, but even out, for highly targetted terms it is still a very uphill battle!
