Blogging with Affiliate Programs
October 18, 2005
If you run any product-based blogs, Arieanna at Blogging Help has a helpful post about how to boost your productivity with affiliate programs. She has recently started using product links, images and information from affiliate programs in her blog posts:
What are the intangible benefits of affiliate programs:- copy & paste product links
- copy & paste images
- no legal disputes on pictures
- quick search features for new products or promotions
- save me from uploading images to my server or to Flickr
- images are a very blog-friendly size
Her point about the images really caught my attention - I find the whole "find an image, download it, resize it" thing one of the more time-consuming aspects of running product-based blogs.

I'm totally with you there. I was finding the workflow really laborious to use pictures. I was uploading them and sending them to Flickr, marking them private in my photo stream and then resizing. Ouch!
I only realized about the picture benefit recently when using Amazon became part of my regular routine. Great improvement.
