Free SEO Tools
July 21, 2005
It's been busy for me this past week - lots of offline deadlines and any moment I can spare, I'm trying to work on my sites. But I wanted to pop in with this post, because I just found a great set of free SEO tools from a site called SEOmoz. Here's what SEOmoz is all about:
Free, open & content-rich. SEOmoz is a search engine optimization resource created to benefit the entire SEO community. Every tool, service & article provided is absolutely free to all users.
They have a set of free SEO tools, including a sandbox detection tool, a rank check tool, a related terms tool, a site analysis and comparison tool and a backlinks tool (these are just some of the tools - there are more on the site).
I haven't had a chance to check out any of these yet, but they definitely look good. You do need to sign up for membership (free), and you have to provide a Google API and a Yahoo API, since these are used when the tools are run and the search engines are queried. It also asks for an Amazon API, too - I'm not sure what tool that would be for, though.
Here's what the site says about its tools:
The tools offered here pull information from the major search engines and several other onilnes resources without violating any terms of service. It is our intention to promote the most ethical and compliant search engine optimization services.
