We Are Now a Team!

I've got some good news to report. Teli, amazing web designer and fountain of tech knowledge, has been designing a Wordpress design for me. I peppered her with tons of questions, since I've been having trouble figuring my way in and out of the basic Wordpress layout.
So, I discovered that Wordpress is php driven. Great. Another learning curve.
I happened to mention this to my husband. Once upon a time, before he embarked on this adventure called running your own business, he was a programmer. It turns out he used to do database programming. He does all his own html work right now, and the idea of php intrigued him. He just spent the night reading up on php so it looks like that's one learning curve I won't have to deal with.
But even better news. I've been talking up a storm recently about my various niches, and my keyword research - in general, I've felt very optimistic about everything. Well, it turns out my optimism is catching. Today we sat down and discussed my web publishing adventures, and it's official!
We are now a team. I'll still play around with a lot of my sites, but he's going to do the coding and tech stuff for the ones which are based on regular html templates and CSS stylesheets. I'll work on sites that use content management systems and SEO Website Builder, as well as write the content for all the sites.
Tomorrow? Hey, first thing I'm going to do is snap up some templates from Basic Templates, and let him take it from there!
Other news: I'm also seriously thinking about joining Nadev's $100 per day challenge ...

I have to admit I am just a *little* jealous ;) My Hubby is great about listening but he really doesn't 'get' what I am talking about. I wish he knew even just alittle about HTML and what we do.
I am trying to get him to think of a site we can do together, maybe if he likes it enough he will want to learn some more ;)

I have to say, though, that I've been gently nudging my husband in this direction for at least the past six months. The php was really what did it - he's a bit of a techgeek at heart. It's nice to have him beside me on his computer at nights now!
