Top Ten Things I Multi-Task While Doing a Wordtracker Competition Search

March 22, 2005

This is the part of Wordtacker research that drives me nuts. (And of course, it's just about the most important part of keyword research. Naturally.)

I usually end up with at least a couple thousand keywords, too. Plus I like to run them through both Google and Yahoo.

The one I'm working on right now has 4000 keywords.

Have I mentioned I'm not the most patient person in the world? Those short waits in between each set of 100 keywords bore me to tears. So, without further ado:

The Top Ten Things I Multi-Task While Doing a Wordtracker Competition Search

10.  Check my email.
9. Write a congratulatory email to my friend who just got married in Hawaii.
8. Bug Yahoo Gail.
7. Microwave something.
6. Read new forum posts.
5. Argue with the kids about bathtime.
4. Search for new affiliate programs.
3. Check my email.
2. Bug Yahoo Gail.

and the number one thing to multi-task while doing a Wordtracker competition search:

I try to catch up on a couple forums while I'm not-so-patiently waiting. Problem is I get wrapped up in reading things so there's a longer break in between than necessary, so the whole thing actually takes more time.

So next time I plan to listen to a seminar of some type so that my brain can be distracted but my eyes can stay on the screen that says when I can move to the next 100.

ROTFLMAO

*chuckle* *sniff* *ahahaha*

That was funny BJ.
(But you really aren't bugging me). :)

PS Christy, that's a great idea (ie: listening to a seminar). I'll definitely be borrowing that one. Thanks!

You say that now, Gail. But remember, I'm doing the kw research for FIFTEEN niches, and I've really just started. :)

That's a great idea, Christy - I need to check all the audio files I've downloaded. What you wrote about ebooks is exactly the reason why I haven't been reading ebooks while doing my research!

Hi,

I hate waiting for Wordtracker Competition Search results too. So much so, I developed a piece of software that does the whole competition search in a single click. It's called Wordtracker Competition Search Automation and it's available at http://www.fastforwardseo.com.

Hope you like it.
