To Do Lists, Goals, and Pages Completed
March 06, 2005
I can't believe a whole week of time has passed by, and it's back to deadlines this week. So I thought I should take a moment and see what I've accomplished this week.
One thing's for sure. Having a continuing to-do list has really been helping me. I've taken to jotting down lots of little things in my list ("write article about the benefits of fresh pet food", for example, instead of "five articles for pet food site"), and it's amazing how many things I've managed to get done as a result. I had one day (that day where I spent the entire morning submitting my sites to different directories) where I felt like I really wasn't accomplishing anything (there's something about submitting to directories that's really draining), but that night, when I checked my list, I was amazed at all the things I had accomplished that day.
I really like Jenn's idea of setting a target number of sites to be reached by a certain date, though. So I'm going to sit down and do something similar, and then every night, break down different tasks into small tasks in my to-do list.
And as for an update, I just checked, and realized that I have created 48 new pages for one of my new sites this past week. When I put it this way, I definitely feel like I'm making progress.
So taking the time to take a good look at what I've accomplished this week has made me feel better about having to work on deadline again this week.

48 pages in a week! You're definitely on your way!

You got in a few more pages than I did, Whoo! I have a huge list for the week but I just finished changing 1000+ links for one of my main affiliate programs, it sucked lol
I am thinking about starting a blog similar to yours, somewhere to talk about work and stuff - I like to keep that seperate from my ranting about life ;)

Let me know if you do, Chrissie. I know what you mean about keeping working life stuff separate from life stuff. I'm starting a personal blog, too, for things that are totally unrelated to work.

Will do :) I think this is going to be my weekend project ;) As much as I love affiliate marketing its stressful, I want somewhere to vent and also just talk about it.
I don't think my regular blog readers would get it so best to make another blog ;)
PS. Do you own a pet website or was that just an example?

No, I don't have a pet site - that was just an example (although I was over at your blog the other day and saw your site so that might have subconsciously stuck in my mind!)
Don't forget to drop me a quick note when you get your AM blog up!
