New Gameplan - 15 Sites

I spent the weekend thinking things over, and I've come up with a new gameplan.
Getting out of the sandbox last week made me realize that if I wanted to get sites up for Christmas, I need to have them up and indexed before the end of April.
Hopefully then they'll pop out of the sandbox in time for the Christmas retail season (maybe with time to spare, too).
So I'm putting aside all my other web publishing plans for now, and have set myself a new goal: 15 affiliate sites up by the end of March and indexed by the end of April.
I'm going to use SEO Website Builder to build the majority of the sites. And I'm going against convention, and launching the sites with minimal content to start with. It's the only way I can get them all up in the right timeframe.
I figure I can safely do this, since the sites will end up sandboxed anyway, and while they're playing nicely in there with all the other new sites, I can keep adding content and build them into bigger sites.
I definitely need the time to write all the content. I'm not really ready to contract out the writing yet, so I'll be doing all the writing myself.
I'm hoping that by the time the Christmas retail season rolls along, they'll be fairly large and ready to roll out of the sandbox and into the Internet world.
I'm also going to use the Martell method for all of the sites. For pure affiliate marketing, I'm most comfortable with the Martell model, as it's the model that makes the most sense to me.
So first on my to-do list is a trip to Wordtracker. I'll probably be there for a few days working on my keyword lists. I have a rather large list of potential niches so I need to narrow them down before I start working on the sites.
The trick will be to get them all indexed in time.
I've always worked well with deadlines, just not self-imposed ones. I figure this is more of a Google-imposed deadline, so I have high hopes that I'll be able to keep on track.

15 before the end of April! Wow! I thought my ten by June 1st was ambitious ;) Sounds like a great game plan, get them in there early... best of luck!

So this is probably one instance where you will want to look at the 60 day history in Wordtracker rather than the 'predict' or 24 hour? That way you will see a bit of what was being effected by the Christmas rush. Perhaps this is another good reason not to wait until August to start on Christmas sites unless you researched them in the previous year.

I have a similar goal but not quite as many. I missed a good 'niche' holiday site that I am still kicking myself over. I am jumping on that ASAP along with some other ideas. Its so exciting and yet overwhelming too...
