Taking the Adwords Plunge
February 04, 2005
I've decided to take the Adwords plunge. The idea of PPC has always interested me, but with so many things going on, setting up an account and really pursuing Adwords has just stayed on the backburner.
However, I recently discovered a great piece of software for choosing keywords.
I have a ton of niches on my list, most of them with a lot of keywords with great potential. My dilemma was picking which niches to start on (kind of a kid in a candy store thing, I know). So when I got Keywords Locator, my plan was to start using it in order to get an idea of which niches would work well with Adsense. I'm a firm believer in multiple streams of income, and of course, Adsense is a great addition to a marketer's success toolkit.
I figured I'd be able to pare my "niches-to-do" list down a bit this way.
I've only just started playing around with the software, and now I can't get rid of my Adwords thoughts! I haven't used it enough to write a full detailed review of it yet - that's coming soon - but it has prompted me to pull out some of the Adwords ebooks I bought last year.
(Reviews of these will be coming shortly, too. In fact, my to-do list for this blog for February includes a whole lot of reviews. About time, I know.)
Now I just have to get over that "fear of risk" factor. Hopefully, I'll get some campaigns running, and be able to check in every now and then with posts about my Adwords results (good and bad).
In the meantime, though, if you're wondering about which niches you should go for first, Keyword Locator is definitely shaping up to be a wonderful tool for both Adwords and Adsense keyword research. (And check back soon for my review.)
