One Hour a Day
February 13, 2005
I received Dr. Andy's EZ SEO newsletter today and it contained a great article by Colin McDougall. Colin, a successful affiliate marketer, wrote about starting an affiliate marketing business, and among all the great gems in his article, one in particular popped out at me. Colin wrote:
Figure out a time commitment that works for you and your family. By devoting just one hour per day to building the business, while working the old job I found balance. While the time might sound small it worked and became a daily goal.
One hour a day? I can definitely manage that. So now that's my new commitment to my marketing business - one hour a day, seven days a week.
It was inspiring to know that's how Colin built his affiliate marketing business. I realized that even during my busiest times (like now, when I find myself "off" my two deadlines/week rule and facing three or more deadlines/week for the rest of February) I would still be able to manage an hour a day.
