Google Index Notification (GIN) Tool

January 29, 2005

I was just a little too quick on my posting trigger finger. Here's info on the Google Index Notification (GIN) tool - I just found it courtesy of Robin Good's site. It's a free tool - all you do is include or require the php script provided in your html code, and you'll receive email notification whenever Google indexes a page on your site.

I'm up-to-date now with the new articles on Robin's site. Promise!

You know BJ,
I had seen that post too and thought it was pretty nifty - until I realized that a huge green button comes along with it automatically. The author doesn't give users the benefit of the doubt to link back to their site...and I'm all about promotion if you make something available for free - however, they should warn people about it first ;)
