Day 2 of the New Year ... and What Have I Done So Far?

Sounds like a song, doesn't it? I'm pleased as punch, actually. Yesterday I started the design of a site that has been on my to-do list for two months now. I actually went into Photoshop and designed the banner myself!

(And then I put on my to-do list - "purchase Photoshop tutorial book from Amazon", after sweeping up the clumps of hair littering the office floor)

Anyway, the site is almost completely designed - I just have to figure out where I'm going to put my Adsense ads. There's no content to speak of yet, but that's "coming soon" (isn't everything?). It's a much easier site for me, because it's more of a fun thing.

As for goal setting - haven't gotten around to that one yet. Paul Myer's Goal Workbook is still here in front of me, and yes, I will get to it.

One goal I have this year is to keep on top of my to-do lists. Not an easy thing, I've been finding.

I have a deadline tomorrow, but I've been really good so far in terms of my offline work. I've been negotiating deadlines so that I don't handle more than two a week. It's much harder turning down work than I would have thought!

PR updates are in progress, and my husband's business site went down one in PR. But I just checked the SERPs and he's still in the same positions. On the agenda for his site - article distribution and submission to more directories. But we're doing well, I think.

Note: And did I check any stats at all yesterday? Well, okay, just once.

Hey, I just realized this is my first post of the year ...

Anyway, up next on my to-do list is a redesign of this blog, to reflect the new direction I'm heading in. Internet business can be fun, you know. Or at least, it'd better be, because that's one of the reasons I'm here.
