Trend Spotting!

October 01, 2004

I've decided to introduce a new category today - Trend Spotting. I'm still going through my Three Strikes ruthless newsletter unsubscribe campaign, and I realized I'm getting some great stuff about trends. This is yet one more reason to weed out all the "hypnotically written" newsletters I've been getting (Internet marketing insider joke here: if you didn't get the punch line, count yourself lucky).

Anyway, to launch this new category, here is the Fourth Annual Digital Future Report. This free 104 page report from USC's Center for the Digital Future talks about Internet usage trends, including a great section on Consumer Behaviour (as in, buying online - do you or don't you?).

(Marketing Sherpa sent this my way, by the way - great newsletters)

Note: For those of you who use FinePrint (see my FinePrint post), DON'T use it for printing out this report. And if your printer's "draft print" function is rather weak, go with regular quality print.

BJ, You many want to also check out Trendwatching.com. It is a monthly newsletter, but what I found interesing is that they not only supply trends and where they are taking place, but opporunities related to the trend as well.
